Schedule Change!

We will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings every month
7pm (sharp) until 9:30 pm (sharp)
Location: Cindi Landreth’s home
516 Ridgeway Dr. Bellingham

(See directions below)

Please consider coming to the home of Cindi Landreth to work toward building a world that will work for all: gather and share perspective, build community and awareness, inspire and be inspired about the changes we are facing with regards to issues around social justice, spiritual fulfillment and environmental issues.

Co-sponsored by Sustainable Bellingham

If you would like to bring someone you feel is ‘up to speed’ on the issues, feel free to do so. We don’t want to spend a lot of time convincing people of what is going on – we want to connect, inspire, be inspired, re-frame, and….. get to the root of where we are and how we will face the changes – each of us…separately and together.

In a previous Salon we hashed out some ideas about preparing ourselves for the coming changes – especially around mental and emotional preparation and a considerable amount of time was spent talking about protection: do we need to protect ourselves? From what? How do we do this without re-creating the same world of fear and separation? One idea that came out of the conversations was to practice collapse. Try living on 3 gallons of water per day per person; turn off the electricity for 1 week; go without a car for an extended time period; identify unchallenged assumptions;…. The more you know about what you may face, the less likely you will be to fearful. Get to know yourself in distressful situations – know thyself! Understand your responsibilities.

I, personally, see this as the Age of Response-Ability. If we do not respond now (somehow!), future generations will not have the ability. What is your level of response-ability?
