The new Parks (PRO) Plan is an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and is proposing a
huge reduction in available land for our City parks, and therefore more developable land for
neighborhood infill. At the same time, there is little acknowledgement that the PRO Plan
contradicts the City’s land supply analysis (used to determine that we must expand
development into the farmland) and that internal inconsistency in our Comprehensive Plan
is against the Growth Management Act mandates.
