Sign up open for Master Gardener training

People can sign up now for the Master Gardener training session that starts in February.

WSU Whatcom County Extension offers the class once a year. Sessions are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays mid-February through early April. Participants must attend each class.

People learn about soil science, botany, integrated pest management and other aspects of gardening. In exchange for their training, master gardeners provide 60 hours of volunteer service. Space in the class is limited. For details, call 676-6736 or download an application at
