8th Annual Northwest Robotics Festival

The SPARK Museum of Electrical Invention is hosting the 8th Annual Northwest Robotics Festival along with BAIRS – the Bellingham Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Society and WWU’s College of Sciences & Technology.  Kids will build robots with the help of BAIRS members, enter a Robot Sumo or Fast Track Racing competition, and watch demonstrations from various robotics clubs and organizations.  This free festival is great for anyone with an interest in electronics, mechanics, science, design, or robots.  The Spark Museum is located at 1312 Bay Street, Bellingham.  To learn more contact Peggy Uppiano – peggy_uppiano@msn.com, (360) 927-1154, or visit www.sparkmuseum.org.

Solar 101- Introduction to Photovoltaic Systems

Join Solar Washington at the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention for Solar 101- Introduction to Photovoltaic Systems. This class will review the basics of PV systems, specifically information about purchasing. Guests will have an opportunity to speak with solar installers and learn about Solar Washington, the Washington State chapter of the American Solar Energy Society.  Following the presentation, guests can explore the museum and mingle with other solar enthusiasts.  Event is free to the first 50 people. Whatcom Harvest Dinner 2013

The Whatcom Harvest Dinner is a spectacular meal and community event that supports and celebrates local farmers, fishers and the county our regional food-shed as to offer. A family-friendly event, the dinner raises awareness about local food-based education opportunities, and our ability to experience and access health local food for our children and community.
