Convert your lawn to a native plant landscape and take advantage of the City of Bellingham’s lawn removal and replacement incentive program. Learn how to minimize your time and energy spent on maintenance, watering, and fertilizing with simple steps toward a beautiful natural landscape. Join us for this hands-on in-the-garden workshop to learn step-by-step how to convert your lawn using low-tech, cost-effective methods.

This is a two-part series. Attend both classes and leave with the resources and know-how to convert your lawn to a beautiful, productive landscape.


Part I: Tuesday, April 24th 6:00pm – 8:00pm
This classroom session will cover the concepts and mechanics of lawn conversion and native plant selection for your space and micro climate.

Part II: Saturday, April 28th 9:00am – 12:00pm
This session will be hands-on (bring your gloves and work clothes), demonstrating step-by-step conversion of lawn to landscape.
